The new version of the game, codenamed: Burgundy Version updates have begun. Here shall be presented the updates made, to keep you posted about any changes to the game. Burgundy version is the seventh installment of the game, each represented by a color, and it is the version which will accompany the game for the rest of the Beta development, and up until our first Kickstarter project. It’s been quite some time since we communicated what’s been happening on the Virtual Tabletop (VTT) environment for Metanthropes, so we’d like to bring everyone up to speed with what we have been working on. Last time we blogged about it, we came up with a few key features that the ideal VTT should possess. To summarize, we wanted the VTT for Metanthropes to meet the following criteria:

Metanthropes is a tabletop roleplaying game about ordinary people, gifted with extraordinary abilities, finding their place in a Multiverse of entwining Timelines and mind-bending Dimensions. With Metanthropes you can bring to life any tale, of any era, setting, and genre through collaborative storytelling. A Metanthrope Character can be any individual imaginable. Similarly, the Player who created that Metanthrope can be anyone, from any walk of life. Metanthropes is an inclusive game that anyone can play.

A big heartfelt thank you to @msarthadian for inviting me (yours truly, @The Composer) to the Arthadian Anthologies podcast, for “A Dive Into Metanthropes”. Thank you for offering me the chance to talk about Metanthropes, it was my very first time as a guest to a podcast, and it was quite a blast talking with you about my game and TTRPGs.

Event Summary

This event is an Introductory Session to Metanthropes role-playing game. It is the best way you can get acquainted with the game, enjoy a Session narrated by the creator of Metanthropes, yours truly: @The Composer. Make sure you have already signed-up here. For this event we will use our Discord server for audio and video (optional), and the Owlbear Rodeo virtual tabletop for map and dice rolling. If this would be your very first Role-playing Session ever, you can learn more about roleplaying and Narration, starting here. If this is your very first Session of Metanthropes, you can check out how the system works, starting here. 

 


 

Event Details

 

Duration: 3 Hours

Available Slots: 4 Players - Make sure you click the Going button on the upper right of this Event page, to receive the Badge of participation.

Description: Introductory Session

Schedule: (breaks will take place in-between parts and at the request of the participants)        

Part 1 (1 hour): System tutorial & selection of Pre-made Protagonists


Part 2 (30 min):  First Scene of the Session. The Narrator will describe the setting and bring the Coalition together.


Part 3 (1 hour ):  Second Scene of the Session. Action Scene involving lots of dice rolls, intense roleplay, perilous combat & more!


Part 4 (30 min):  Epilogue and feedback.


 

Premade Protagonists:   Each Player selects one of the Pre-made Protagonists for this Introductory Session. You can select your own Protagonist Summary, and finishing touches, as well as roll for 1d10 starting Destiny, and then you are ready to play!

 

All Signed-up members can visit these links to learn more about the following Metapowers: Life Restoration, Duplicate Self, Time Bending, 6th Sense, Control Gravity, Dark Energy Projection, Meta Strength, Electrokinesis, Mind Control, Ancestral Connection. Once a member has  RSVPed for this Session, they can visit the entire Metabase of Metapowers. Each participant will be awarded 100 Achievement Points and increase their Rank to Audience membership. This is a One-Shot Session focused with purpose of testing the new streaming and VTT setup for the new season of Open Beta Sessions. Narrated by the creator of Metanthropes, yours truly: @The Composer, and reserved for Closed Beta members only. For this event we will use our Discord server for audio and video (optional), and the Owlbear Rodeo virtual tabletop for map and dice rolling.

All members can vote on which is their day of convenience for a Session and participate in the next available Introductory Session. It is the recommended way of getting acquainted with the game.

 
Audience and above members can vote on which is their theme of preference for the next upcoming One-Shot Session. Each One-Shot Session will be a new, unique experience.

 
Instrument and above members can vote on which are the Setting, Theme, Genre, and Antagonist of preference here for the upcoming Saga. This is a modular event which can be tailored to the Group’s preferences.

 
Concertmaster and above members can vote on which are the Setting, Theme, Genre, and Antagonists of preference for the upcoming Multiversal Saga. This is a modular event which can be tailored to all the participating Groups’ preferences.

 
Conductors and above members (currently reserved only for our Closed Beta members) can vote on which is their day of convenience for the Narrator’s Bootcamp event.

Epilogue: The Doom of All, part 3

 

The journey that the Protagonists began, has come to its end. Those who perpetually create the symphonies of many worlds, are now performing their final act. Alas, those who reside at Eridu, the first city a have a final say themselves against the Doom of All. The sight beyond sight of beings beyond beings is fixed upon them. The will of the Protagonists, a bargain struck by the first Instrument, the whims of the most powerful Extradimensional entities, and the schemes and machinations of the Multiversal Factions will collide for the culmination of this story. 

 

 

Event Summary

This is the Epilogue episode, and the final Act of the first Multiversal Saga. This new Saga was a modular event, and its Setting, Theme, and Genre have been influenced by the votes placed on the community poll here. Participants will be awarded 100 Achievement Points, and special other Meta-Community gifts for their participation, and their Protagonist will be eternalized to the Protagonist Metabase which can be found here, for all our Closed Beta members.

Session Room: This final Session of the Saga shall be hosted by our Discord server.

Duration: 3 Hours
