The journey that the Protagonists began, has come to its end. Those who perpetually create the symphonies of many worlds, are now performing their final act. Alas, those who reside at Eridu, the first city a have a final say themselves against the Doom of All. The sight beyond sight of beings beyond beings is fixed upon them. The will of the Protagonists, a bargain struck by the first Instrument, the whims of the most powerful Extradimensional entities, and the schemes and machinations of the Multiversal Factions will collide for the culmination of this story.

After the last glaciers of the final ice age have melted, during the primordial times of the Neolithic era, within the first cradle of civilization a tale of gods and monsters begins. In the fertile crescent land between the rivers Tigris and Euphrates, during the obscure corners of history, the land is plagued by a dreaded Metatherion. Metanthropes scattered across the archaic lands will heed the call to track down and eliminate the beast. New Coalitions shall be formed to lead this world of out of mysticism and into civilization, while unbeknownst to them become Instruments to the cosmic rhythms of the Multiverse.

This is the first Episode of the first Group of this Saga. This new Saga will be a modular event, and its Setting, Theme, and Genre have been influenced by the votes placed on the community poll here. Every vote matters and will influence the story!

 

Participants will be awarded 100 Community Reputation, and their Protagonist will be saved to the Metabase, to be used in any subsequent Session to this Saga, or new Sagas altogether. During this event, new Protagonists will be created and the foundations of the Multiversal Saga will be placed. This is the "Session 0", the character creation process, and prelude of a new Saga that is going to playout throughout the next few months. 

 

This new Saga will consist of one or possibly two Rehearsal Sessions such as this one, where Players will create new Protagonists, three Episodes for each Group, one cross-over Episode, and one final epic epilogue, where all Players will play together. If this is your first time playing Metanthropes, consider participating in an Introductory Session first. Greetings Metanthropes,

 

and welcome to the first Poll for a Multiversal Saga. A Multiversal Saga is a series of Sessions played by multiple different Groups, which exist in the same Timeline (or entwinning Timelines). Each Group will form its own Coalition, and as the Sessions they play on their own progress, their decisions and actions in-game will influence the world both Groups occupy. The Multiversal Saga concludes in a climactic event which will include all Players from all Groups joined together for one epic, cross-over event.

 

This Saga requires at least two different Groups to participate. Please make sure you have first voted on the Poll here, to determine which is the best Session day for you, and according to the availability of others, form your playgroup. This upcoming Multiversal Saga is also a modular event, and all Instrument and above members will be able to influence the details of the story, such as it's Setting, Genre and more. The third Poll option of this Poll: "Choose the Theme of your preference" shall set the tone of the competitive nature of the relationship between the two Coalitions.

Story Synopsis

 

 

"After a vicious attack by the Papa Tsung corporation, the Coalition is caught up with a grueling fight for survival against cybernetically enhanced agent. The Protagonists survive but are forced to leave the research facility ablaze, and about to collapse into ruins. With the research downloaded and secure, they manage to board the shuttle, and as they are about to dispatch while taking one of the unconscious assailants as a prisoner. That agent turned out to be an old rival, who awakens and exacts his final revenge by triggering a grenade explosion inside the shuttle as it is about to become airborne. Who will survive to the end and manage to establish first contact with the extraterrestrial Visitor from Up and Above? What will they discover there, and how can it possibly affect the entire fate of the multiverse? Join us in the last installment of this Saga to find out the answers to this questions and more, during the final, Epilogue Session!"

“ The Coalition travelled through the Aether, a temporal Dimension which exists in the future of the Timeline. There, with time having moved forwards, their wounds miraculously healed. After wandering for a while in that lonesome Dimension, and waiting for their shuttle to arrive - the Coalition encountered an Unliving, a specter of the Aether. The extradimensional entity was unaware of its status, a soul which died within Aether, and become forever entrapped there. After the Protagonists used their capabilities together and overpowered the Unliving, they decided to let the tormented soul continue its existence, the departed with shuttle towards their destination: Antarctica. While travelling through air within the Aether Dimension, the Coalition might decide which facility in Antarctica mega-corporation should they choose to join forces with. Antonine, Borris, Heimer, and Lara are getting closer towards the goal of their mission: establishing first contact with the extraterrestrial entity which  mere presence has irrevocably changed this world."
